Exchange 2007, Entourage, and Plus Signs

Stumbled upon a strange issue yesterday that only happens if you meet these criteria:
  • Are using Entourage 2004 or 2008 for your e-mail
  • You connect to an Exchange 2007 server
  • The Exchange 2007 server is running on Windows Server 2008
If you are lucky enough to meet all three of the above, go right now and send yourself an e-mail with a plus sign (+) in the subject line. Now, try to get that e-mail in Entourage. Chances are you didn't get it. Now login to Outlook Web Access and notice it's there. Weird, eh? According to this web site:

...it has to do with IIS7 not allowing double escape sequences. Needless to say, the same link also describes a way to fix this problem. You'll notice that it is not described as a bug, but an issue. I'm going to go out on a limb and figure that this isn't going to be fixed by default, but us Mac users will have to be puzzled and perplexed by this until we stumble upon a fix like I did.

Hope this helps someone out there!
